Dynamics

You can be so enticingly enigmatic

From one angle
hugs, cherry
lozenges, Vick’s, blankets
From
another
scarlet, shattered vessels,
spoiled milk

Mothers make soup
You       ran over Lou

She absorbs the suffocation
And you, give me your own

She tells me to cover my feet
While you tell me to leave

She embodies warmth
You are the absolute absence of it

The empty rage perceived in the room
It’s seeping out of your pores
Attacking from the corner
I don’t see

Cough syrup was
Now allergy pills are
And her love was
Now your damage is

Why
Calling you a man
Would be so pathetically
invalid
